Good morning! I have a technical question that if anyone can answer, I sure would appreciate it.

I am on AOL. Last week my daughter came and used the computer and changed the font size in "preferences." Because she did this, my font on my e-mail and on the reply box when I type in posts on Free Republic is the smallest possible. It is very difficult to read. (In case some of you were wondering about my weird spelling errors lately, this is why. I can't even read the Spell Check corrections very well.) My husband had to have me put on my magnifying reading glasses yesterday to read HIS e-mail to him!

I cannot get the preferences to switch back. I have tried re-setting the font size, re-booting and re-setting it, etc. If anyone has a simple answer, I would appreciate it. Otherwise I will have to spend some time on the phone with AOL, which I do not look forward to. Thanks!

I think you can go to View at the top of the toolbar and click View, then Text Size.

In the "you cannot possibly make this stuff up folks" category...

MARY LANDRIEU: IT WAS GEORGE BUSH'S FAULT THAT MAYOR NAGIN DIDN'T USE SCHOOL BUSES TO EVACUATE NEW ORLEANS--SAYS FAULT LIES WITH CUTS IN MASS TRANSIT SPENDING

That's not even logically consistent, but, sadly, predictable...

Are you sure it's not a screen resolution change? I mean, do you see more desktop now? If so, then the resolution was changed.....

(In case you don't know, to change the screen resolution, right click on the desktop, then Properties, then Settings, and then you can change the Screen Resoluiton...;-))

(If it is just font size, then you can change it by right-clicking the desktop, then Properties tab, then Appearance tab, then adjust the Font size setting -- Normal usually works well...;-))
