The Left has been demanding that O'Connor be replaced with a moderate to 'maintain the balance.' Think they'll demand a staunch conservative to replace Renquist? Suuuuuuuuure they will...

That was BEFORE the Chief Justice passed away. Now we have that idiot Schumer suggesting the President ask O'Connor to remain and APPOINT HER CJ. Won't be long before the rest of the gang joins the chorus demanding that unless and until that is done, Roberts will be put on the back burner.

What do I care what the he___the Left demands?! I couldn't care less. Bush can't nominate ANYONE to satisfy them and he shouldn't and more importantly, WHY would you even care what THEY want?. All they have to review on are his qualifications, but of course they have to go through the whining bit on political philosophy too regardless. I want Pickering,....to stick it to them good. If what I suggested would come to pass they'd ALL BE APOPLECTIC and more importantly make fools of themselves. Now, if you judge things from the perspective of the last two CLOSE Presidential elections, it's just possible that watching them go through their same old tired judicial demonRAT routine might disgust enough people to cost them dearly in the mid-term elections come next year. There are a lot of disgusted 'traditional' demonRATs who don't like the way the trend has been going in their party. Anyhow, that's MY reasoning with this.
