U.S. plays its most important game on American soil in years against Mexico (LIVE on ESPN Classic/Telemundo 7:30 p.m. ET). A win against Mexico and the U.S. can secure its spot in the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
Tell that to Slovenia. :-)

Bidding has begun on the US jerseys - 100% going to support the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

So the USA won? That's great. But again, soccer is the skim milk of sports in America, only about 2% care for it.
What? 19 million people play soccer in this country.
All US National team matched get tens of thousands of fans willing to pay big $$ for tickets.
Several new soccer-only stadiums have been built - more on the way.
Like it or now, soccer will be one of the 4 top sports in this country, overtaking Hockey in 2-5 years.
I thought soccer was #4, but being #5 is even worse.
I'm not trying to argue with you, but Americans just don't care about soccer like the rest of the world. The numbers I've seen on ESPN show Americans like football, baseball and basketball. Soccer and ice hockey are far behind the top three.
And folks can like more than just one sport.

Big deal. If you destroyed the whole of Prague, you'd do about ten bucks worth of damage.
But the beer is so much better than that English swill.
How sad, England behind Belgium, Ireland and the Czech Republic when it comes to beer.
LOL
There are still mexicans...IN MEXICO??????
Color me shocked!
If you watch Mexican TV, you only see the white ones.
"I wonder if Mexican fans will be chanting Osama's name here?"
If they do, our fans ought to start chanting "I.C.E."
Soccer will be one of the top 4 sports in this country, overtaking hockey in 2-5 years"
WOW!
What's next the Pro Bowlers Tour?????
where was this game played?
