If I double-click on the icon, I get the Belkin Wireless Monitor application. There are 3 profiles in the AP list.

linksys 41%
athome 39%
belkin54g 60%

Each has a % next to it which I assume represents the connection.

The Belkin54g is mine. My sister configured and turned on the encryption for me - but I don't know about the other 2.

It's strange. Usually I only see my Belkin and maybe "at home", but this "linksys" is new.

"linksys" is the default SSID for Linksys brand access points. It is probably one of your neighbors.

If it is free and clear and unencrypted... might be handy to keep in your back pocket for a rainy day. :-)

If you open a browser and go to http://192.168.1.1

What happens? if that doesn't work, try .1.2
