We need to authorize drilling in ANWR.

I have a new theory on the subject, and so far I haven't thought of a good argument against it:

Burn their oil first. :-)

Maybe there's a certain wisdom in saving our own reserves for later... when things get *really* scarce. :-) I dunno... but I heard somebody say that the other day, and the more I think on it, the more I like it.

The problem with burning their oil first is that they control how much we get and how much it costs. :-P

Of course this still remains a distribution problem and not a supply problem. But it's time we were better prepared.
