Cool! Baskets of Death!
I think he shall also have a little aloe plant growing in a pot by the window.
Will it have an up-link to the Mother Plant? Does it have a role in the assassination?
Mwahahaha....
So I was thinking of getting a book by that really lousy author you mentioned, as motivation, but I decided committing suicide before NaNo from horror at word-abuse wasn't really a winning strategy.
But hey, the guy got published!
It might. I think I'm going to have genetically modified aloes growing in a cosmetics plant. They'll have these greusome syringe type things in them bleeding the juices off. It'll make a great cream for wrinkles and if you infuse it with nanites, you can deliver them into the bodies of the rich and famous. Muahahaaa.
Hehehe. You will have to tell me whether my story is better than his. :-)
"At that moment, more gunfire rang out all around them as two more Nazi riverbikes swung in behind them.
Bullets flew everywhere, whizzed over Race's head, and then suddenly - sprack! - Race saw the hideous gout of blood splash out from Doogie's left shoulder as the young Green Beret was hit.
"Arrrrrgggghhh!" Doogie's voice roared over the radio, but somehow he was able to keep up his speed.
Voom-voom-voom. The three American riverbikes shot into the treeline... "
I kid you not.
Wow...that's just...impressively bad.
Voom-voom-voom!
Thought all of you would be interested to see the construction of the new narrows bridge.... We had the new bridge and the tolls it comes in on... we'd like to see it splash into the drink.
Those are worker walkways that span the distance between the towers.... Who among us would walk those?
I took the above picture on the way home. This one below is from this morning, when it was all socked in with fog. You can see the little guys up there... Would it be easier or harder to walk it fogged in where you can't see the water below?
Walking that could be fun! I'd be terrified while on it but it'd be fun in hindsight.
Yeah, any writer who has to include sound effects to tell the story is just bad.
I'd be OK I ~think~ because there are handrails. I am deathly afraid of heights, but only if I have nothing to hold on to with my hands.
"Race tried desperately to concentrate as he drove. The speed at which they were traveling was utterly frightening.
It was so fast. So incredibly, incredibly fast!
Tree trunks whooshed past him at phenomenal speed. Wavelets streaked underneath the bow of his riverbike. So quickly were they traveling - so lightly on the surface of the water - that he barely had to touch the handlebars of his bike in order to bank it left or right."
There had to be handrails. I wouldn't go if there weren't.
The obstacle right before it was the same thing with a rope overhead to hang on to.... no trouble at all with that.
I don't blame you! I think I could do it, with a harness, but handrails add so much to your mental wellbeing.
The trouble with the harness is it was hooked to the bottom of the beam. So the rope was slack, so it wasn't going to catch you until you'd dropped several feet. You couldn't rely on it for balance.
You could have a rope walking scene in your plot...
