IMHO, the absolute worse thing you can possibly do is to be deceptive in ANY WAY. It'll just backfire and make things worse.

Just tell 'em that it's a bunch of crap and you walked out...or that you got into an argument about it and didn't hear all the sessions....or that you had a second honeymoon and the heck with the sessions.

I'm in the process of organizing that troop support "Christmas card" crafts day...I've got a Marine lined up to speak and mingle with the kids...I've just got to lock down a location and a date.

Let me know when you're having the Marine do the mingling. We can have a Hobbit Hole knife (we actually have quite a lineup now), waiting. The kids don't have to see it, although Marines and knives do go together.
