Makes perfect sense to me! *grin*

I like to think of Moots as "living threads".

Several different conversations going on at one time, but everyone is pretty much following along with the topics and jumping in with a comment here and there.

Really neat!

I admit to just sitting back and enjoying the novelty of it on several occasions during Entmoot and WeddingMoot.

I'm certain it will get back them eventually, chica.

May God bless them for it.

Heh...I think it stuned my siblings a bit at first. Here they didn't know these people from Adam, and we were all yammering away right off the bat like the oldest and bestest of friends. ;-) Of course, by the end of the week they were really sorry to go. They still talk about Entmoot a lot.

I know what ya mean!

There wasn't much we didn't know about everyone when we met the first time. And not one of us turned out to be any different than I expected. Not a weirdo cross dresser in the bunch :~D

Makes perfect sense. Entmoot was like meeting old friends, even though, at that point, I think I'd only met ecurbh. I don't think I'd met you, Mugs and Bilbo, had I? I thought we did our NH mini-moots later, when Clare went up to Hulbert.

BTW, Joseph is about 4 inches taller now than he was in that picture!

We'd met once, I think. 'Cause I know the first time we met up - at Borders - I wasn't completely sure what you guys looked like. I had...Jim and Stephen with me, I think? Can't remember.

Was that the just before Christmas time, I think? Or mid-November? I remember we were looking at Christmas presents, kinda sorta. Maybe the November before Entmoot?

Come to think of it, I DID meet you before Entmoot! I met you, and a couple of the siblings at Border's Books in Lebanon! That was in October just before Entmoot.

I think you guys didn't get my previous message:

Statement as of 6:25 PM EDT on September 17, 2005 ... Interests in South Florida should closely monitor tropical wave... The surface low pressure system located about 170 miles east-northeast of the Turks and Caicos Islands has continued to become better organized today as it moves west-northwestward at 10 mph. This system is forecast to affect South Florida Monday and Tuesday and there is a chance that it could develop into a tropical depression or even tropical storm before then. Interests across South Florida should closely monitor statements issued by the National Hurricane Center and the National Weather Service office in Miami in case this system develops. Stay tuned to your local media outlet for the latest weather information.

Oh no!!

I don't need this crapola now. ~sigh~

Here's hoping it disappoints the forecasters and fizzles out.

And in other news, this jerk is back.

Why do I even bother posting on that side anymore? It's a hatefest out there.

At least it doesn't sound like it's likely to get super strong. That's something. I guess.

Evening everybody...

See this...

Cousin/roommate and I were at his fiancee's all day. He's only about as sick as two cats today but they needed some time and another trip to whatever non-hospital medical advice facility he uses; I spent a large part of the day learning to play Bocce Ball (I now speak Bocce, and Beru Lars would want me around); watching young'uns play Lego Island on a computer; getting the guided tour of the property (and selecting a possible .22 range); and watching Robin Hood (Flynn, DeHavilland) and The Little Princess (Temple, Treacher). We shared two meals and lots of hugs and tickles :) and both their cats now like me as well.

Sounds like a terrific day, XGI!

Hope your cousin feels better soon.

Don't bother. It ain't worth it.

He's just plain bitter beyond reason. Either he hates kids for no real reason, or he's just upset that libertarians don't rule the world and he has to pay taxes. Of any kind. Period.

Yup.

I'm not going to respond to him anymore.

It's terrible to see how far FR has fallen in terms of decency and respect towards each other.

It got really nasty during the Elian days when I first decided to post, but never like this.

Truly sad to watch it happen.

Yes, it is forming so close, Turks and Caicos, hopefully it won't be too strong before it gets here, although an FR thread (already!) now tells me that it's forecast to be a minimal hurricane as it gets into this vicinity, maybe the Keys.

Minimal hurricances aren't so bad, if you are on the beach and not at sea.

Minimal is good, if we have to have another one this season.

The contractors are scheduled to fix my fence and roof in about 3 weeks.
