I don't name 'em...
Thanks, folkses!
Got number 16 visiting Sam and Ruthy too!
Here's an article that briefly mentions what happened to us yesterday...

This tells a bit about the encampment...a totally different environment than urban NO!

Right, will pray.
Gah, I need some prayin' myself... got an old health issue that's looking like it wants another go-round and I'm just sick and tired of dealing with it and sick and tired of the so-called cure. Dunno what I'm gonna do now.
It cain't hit Ruthy, she don't have her DSL back yet.
hmmm...these Dannon Light'n Fit Smoothies are not unlike the taste and consistency of that barium liquid you drink right before a CT scan...
Phew!
Remember, if you like the job too much, you wouldn't demand pay to be there. It's a job, not a hobby. :~D
They're gonna name her "Ophelia" and that'll probably pi$$ her off...
Just for that, she's going to land.
He doesn't care who he has to take on. And just to satisfy any doubt he means business, he throws in the bit about the claw hammer.
Heh...I know, I know.
The main things I'm unsure about are the ones I mentioned...if I gotta do a lot of driving, that'll be a drag, as will being on-call all the time. On the other hand, it pays really well. That makes up for a multitude of evils. And if I am at one site for a full day at a time instead of being constantly required to drive back and forth...that isn't bad. Especially as the closest site is just over a mile from here. I can walk it.
What'd be insanely great is if I was assigned permanently to this site, and could pretty much always walk in good weather. I'd really like that.
Here's hoping she doesn't get any stronger!
Yeah, I saw that. He's prolly a freeper.
LOL - I saw that earlier. Gotta wonder what exactly the ugly woman is gonna do to 'em...
But maybe I don't wanna know.
Get the job, I wanna go to Popeyes.
And being tied "in town" during the week... that should be too much of a problem, right? I mean, it's not like we go party in Cheyenne on Wednesday nights or anything. And that one site is a nice walking distance.
It's not much of a problem at the moment, but...you know how it can be, being on call. It's mostly psychological, I guess. but still...
On the other hand, I've never carried a beeper full time. Maybe once I'd had it for a while and had a feeling for about how often anything would actually HAPPEN, it'd not really bug me.
The various sites, as long as they are not HUGH long commutes, appeals to me. The change in environment means you get to see how a lot of different places work, Some will be good, some will be dreadful, but those places aren't your life, they're your assignment. You'll finish there and move on, knowing more about them than you did before. As for the driving, you're looking at that backwards. It's good being paid to listen to the radio as the scenery goes by. Your car is a sanctuary people stuck looking at the same grey cubicle walls would appreciate, not dread. But maybe that's just me. :~D
