I tell you what. I went to take the jedis to see SW yesterday, you know? Well, the web wrong, it started today...so we went back today...just got back.
While I was sitting there, this man was there with this little boy, gosh...he musta been about 5 years old...the kid was playing and being a tad disruptive, but not too bad and his dad would reel him in when he got too rambunctious. They were sitting maybe 5-6 seats down from me.
So I'm sitting there and this kid keeps getting closer and closer to me and then starts BLOWING on me! Big old blows!! Deep breath, pursed-up lips blows! Like he's blowing a tuba or something! He did it about a half-dozen times and I tried to ignore him but then he's standing right next to me blowing right into the side of my face!
I look at him and see that his dad has FALLEN ASLEEP! I asked him to please not blow on me and to go sit with his dad. He goes and sits on his dad's lap and woke the guy up. They sit there for a while then the guy takes the kid and leaves in the middle of the movie!
It seemed like a fun idea at the time. ;~D
I just can't get over that man! He literally abandoned that kid! I seriously coulda walked off with that kid...I'm pretty sure he woulda gone with me he was so ready to hang out with me!
I swear that little kid was 4-5 years old...
Me?!?!?
And that's not all!
Yesterday, we went to the park...Steve said it had a labyrinth you could walk around and supposedly you'd find "tranquility" by the time you finished it. So just for fun, the jedis and I start walking it...it was painted on this big concrete slab...like an old basketball court or something.
So we're walking, when along comes this kid...I guess maybe 7-8 years old going full grunt on his bicycle and I swear, he nearly ran Joshua down. I thought he might have made a mistake but he did it again! TWICE! Like he was targeting Joshua. Joshua had to jump out of this kid's way! I finally shouted at him "KNOCK IT OFF!!" He stared at me like he couldn't believe his ears and rode off.
Now this is a big city park...not some small town park...and this kid was completely unsupervised!
Hmph! The last thing I felt when I got to the end of that labyrinth was tranquil!

Well, after the man and the kid left the movie theater, it wasn't so bad...there were no other kids and only about 10 adults. We had the row to ourselves and I could relax my vigilance with the jedis a bit, because I wasn't afraid of them disturbing anyone by kicking a seat or jiggling the row of seats.
If only that was true. :~D
I just found *three* tomato hornworms - the big, green, juicy, ugly caterpillars that devour 'maters and peppers. I hate them. They are so hard to get rid of because they're camoflaged so well.
Well. I've been working on an organic pest control system for the garden and planted all sorts of flowers that attract beneficial insects. The beneficial insects prey on the bad insects that eat my veggies.
One such marvelous creature is a parasitic wasp that lays its eggs in the tomato hornworm. I only saw the hornworms this afternoon because they were sprouted out with the wasp pupae! Hurray! Mother nature is at work in the garden! And it's so disgusting:
