I think everyone's first reaction in the face of disaster is to be frustrated and angry and to want to assign blame. But it isn't pretty. I can understand it, and I feel the same way. Still, the live threads and the media have gone over the edge on the subject. It makes me wanna bash some heads in frustration. At this point, though pointing fingers is natural, and though later one a lot of "plans" and the people who didn't make the right ones or even pull off the ones they had - that should be looked into, but it isn't the most important thing right now.
I know that's not entiredly coherant, but...

I agree. I'm mostly frustrated at the libs trying to blame the President for all of this.
Hopefully his visit today will help. I'd like to hear him say to hell with the red tape, this is how we're gonna fix this.

Good morning everyone.
I do think everyone is very frustrated and dismayed by what they see. We all want to see an end to the immediate crisis, and even then it isn't even close to over for these people. My heart goes out to them. The only people I hope it's ALL soon over for are the gangs. I don't think anyone predicted ~that~.
Anyway.... I want to see us taking special care not to upset each other, here, if possible. Let the rest of the forum argue.

Well, I'm staying off ~all~ non-hobbit-hole threads for the time being. I'm at my emotional breaking point over this as it is, and seeing the pettiness, ugliness, and rancor elsewhere on this forum simply turns my stomach and makes me want to bash heads.

Not enough money to really ~go~ anywhere, unfortunately.
I plan on spending time with my girls, doing a bit of FlyLady around the house, cleaning up the mess in the backyard and (if I can swing it) a trip to Busch Gardens next weekend after the Labor Day crowds have gone.
Gas is spendy right now, so even though I have the annual passes bought and paid for - it may be out of budget to drive there and back.
We'll see.
