You got me beat by 15 years.
When I was 13, I bought cigarettes.
Some stores required a "note from
a parent" stating you were buying
the cigarettes for the parent.
Very few stores ever asked for a
note, but at age 13, I could write
as well as my mother. Always had
a "note" in my pocket, just in case.
