On occasion I will listen to Michael Savage...I would listen to him more if he weren't so.....caustic....and if he would let some very interesting callers SPEAK....he cuts them off. I find that irritating....what Savage says is usually very good/intelligent/great parody...but he can be so abrasive, I can't listen to him often, lol.

I listened to him once.......decided he was a lunatic and switched him off.....for all the reasons you said, plus some of my own.

He is as dangerous as any demented leftist and would be just as bad if he and his ilk were in power.

I know you don't like chiro's, but, as I understand it, quite often, shortly after a chiropractic treatment there may be greater discomfort than before, often because the muscles were fighting to stay in the wrong position/place and now they've been put back where they're supposed to so now they're trying to get back to "out of place" (best way to explain it).

She needs to rest....I'm sure he said to continue to use cold for a couple more days and Ibuprofen, then heat.

I hope tomorrow she wakes up feeling better!

I do think he can be a bit extreme, as well....if he would only 'tone' down the extremism....but, as you say, sharky, we would wish that of any person or group. Nothing taken or done to an extreme is healthy, including eating sharks. : )

It's not just a bit extreme.......I think he's really dangerous from what I heard. Rush's magnetism without the self-control and depth of thought.

Fascism can come from the right as well as the left and it resides there.

Apologies....gotta go.....hope to see (?)you later.

I don't know if he's a danger, sharky....he doesn't promote violence...he does advocate the people's right to overthrow our government if/when it becomes tyrannical...but that is in our Preamble...and is why the Framers wanted to ensure that we could bear arms....so that our Government would NOT become tyranical....which, indeed, it is becoming moreso that way as the decades go by. True, he lacks Rush's self-control...but it's my opinion, for what it's worth, that he does think greatly about that which he speaks, before he speaks. He's more of a 'rouser' than Rush, however. Agreed, fascism is no good, from whichever direction it comes.

What extremism are you are talking about specifically? I mean, I don't believe everything I hear - from anyone in the media, things can always be taken with a grain of salt. You said you only heard him one day... The first few times I heard him, he did sound very abrasive, so I agree there. Now, I listen to him for maybe a half hour on the way home, so maybe I am missing something. But he's certainly no mouthpiece for the WH like the others are - is this why people object? They vilify anyone who doesn't tote party line, as I have learned today from the pro-illegal alien side.

He's the only one who has for years been raising the border issue. No mainstream politician is doing anything about it - nor will they ever unless the public wakes up.

As far as fascism, the govt. seems to be doing a fine job of that on its own. These middle-of-the-road parties led by flip sides of the same person aren't getting us anywhere, so maybe it's time for some extremism. IMO.

Yeah, I can usually only handle about 20 - 30 minutes on my drive home, depending on my mood and how loud he is yelling :O), but sometimes he is just so refreshing. I would like to read his book to learn more.

Sometimes I wonder if his abrasiveness/causticness is what he's really like...or if some of it is an "act" so as to wake people up from the stupor of being sheep? of being so non-thinking? of being so complacent?

Yeah, good question. He's been sounding tired lately... 'cuz he's been trying to wake us up for so long. I like his anti-PC rants - about how we need to wake up and stop this PC-madness. He says Blair is a socialist but at least he cracked down on the mooselimbs and that W needs to do the same.

I also like the nights where he just talks about sitting in an Italian restaurant in North Beach (SF). Ahhhhhh....

Yeah, I didn't care for some of the stuff he was saying last year about the war, and shut him off for a few months. But, he donates his books to the troops and really passionately cares about our country and the state of decay we are in, becoming a service (slave) society and all that. Easy for rich people to go along with the establishment, it's those of us in the middle class who are getting the shaft. To put it politely.
