I just got my school books yesterday. My bio book, Biology: Concepts and Conections, talks about the theory of evolution as if it's not theory, or ever was. Did I miss something? Did someone prove it true?
I don't care in any fanatical way whether or not evolution is true. Whatever you believe, if a school science book presents a theory as if it's true, isn't that a problem? If I did miss the proof, what is it?
On a related note, my text book says "Evolution is biology's core theme." Huh? Isn't the core theme of biology how living things work?
Troll thread. No ping to the list.

This is the pattern I would expect of a troll who wanted to start a flame war:
- Sign up (you did)
- Make a few background posts that make you appear conservative (you did)
- Put something on your profile to back up your upcoming troll post. (Your profile starts "I'm a public high school student")
- After a few days post the troll post that is intended to trigger a flame war (this post appears to do that)
hmmm
I take it you weren't studying biology in college then
????
Best as I know, changes within a species has been explored and well documented. That aspect of evolution is solid.
A change from one species to another hasn't been proven, though.
ICR talking points and biology aren't really compatible
Since you are new to FR perhaps it should be brought to your attention that people are entitled to their opinion whether it agrees or disagrees with your opinion.
Don't use the word "species" as it is really meaningless.
See http://www.nwcreation.net/wiki/index.php?title=Macroevolution
The problem is that the words used popularly aren't particularly meaningful in scientific contexts. Creationists believe that organismal forms are fundamentally stable even through change, and that is probably a better way of putting it.
Sure.
