Mexico.
I figure by the time I retire the place will be completely abandoned.

Oklahoma City. The AF dropped me off here 20-odd years ago, and its not a bad place to live! Just moved into a new custom-built home east of the metro a year and 9 months ago. Country living within 5 minutes of Tinker AFB, inexpensive housing, decent climate, few liberals. What more can you ask for?

Good one!
Montana or Idaho maybe. Could just stay in Texas, but I hate the heat. Any rate I still have 20 or so years to worry about it.

Heard a good one yesterday: After a hurricane devastated Mexico and killed millions, the U.N. sent money, Europe sent food and the U.S. sent two million replacement Mexicans.

Out at the end of a 5 mile peninsula near Sequim Washington directly across the street from the Juan de Fuca Strait on 3 acres. Temperate climate, 14 inches of rain/year, deer, elk, eagles, all manner of aquatic birds, seals, snow covered mountains, great fly fishing, wild rivers, peace and quiet. It's the antithesis of Southern California. One of two red counties around Puget Sound.
