no kidding. Amazing what the effect of one little bullet can have on the world. years of trenches full of mud, running accross fields and through barb wire while being gunned down. All because of one little bullet.
BTW, are you somewhat of a history fan/lover/officianado?
For a while I tried starting a daily "This day in history" thread, but after about a week of zero comments and 27 views I decided it wasn't a very popular idea.

My Granddaddy's war. He served in the Navy and got a medal for going below deck to rescue a fellow crewman. He said he didn't need a medal to do his duty and rescue another soldier, that the guy would have done the same for him. He suffered from lung damage from that action of heroism, for the rest of his life.
He married Grandma after he got back from the war, they had four kids, weathered the depression, he worked the factories in Pittsburgh, eventually making tour boss. He died in 1969. RIP, Grandpa Alfred.
