Glad he's got good progress toward healing... Those scabs itch. I think the process of healing itches.... wouldn't surprise me that he tries to roll and itch them off. I agree on when it'd be OK to ride again. When there's new skin there and it's not tender anymore, he'd be OK.

Remember how Bay took that bite out of Cyn when she was here on trial period? We saddled her up when there was no more welt under it, but I still worried that it was too soon. If we were checking her for safety with ecurbh, I sure didn't want pain under the saddle to create problems... But it didn't.

Yeah, you can sure create a problem if they hurt under saddle, even when you get the hurt fixed.

I bet Bay will be fine when Sweetie leaves tomorrow, once she's out of sight. I use to worry when I'd leave one here by themselves, but Mack has been around enough times to observe and says they are always fine 2 minutes after I'm gone.

I've been working alot the last few days in my garden. I didn't care for the way it looked this year, so I've been doing some rearranging. I think it looks pretty good now, altho not as full as I want. But that will have to wait till next year.
