What are the going rate for rental homes in your area? My SIL's mom lives in the Tampa area. We are planning to go down at Christmas, but if I can swing an early retirement, I would like to stay a couple months. At least get out of here in January and February. I'm in Miami and the prices here are ridiculous!!

Tampa and its surrounding areas is MUCH more affordable, although prices there have already started to creep up.

If we plan on staying for a couple of months, you can get some excellent deals in the Orlando area (Kissimmee, St. Cloud, Winter Park, etc).

The further south you go, the higher the prices.
