The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Oh my gosh, you've guessed my secret:)

LOL... Mack and I were talking the other day along these lines. You know, what IS normal:).

I've come to the conclusion that compared to everyone I know, mack and I are the insane ones. We have swam upstream our whole lives. I'm very tired of it, but I can't change, just goes against the grain to much.

We call the last 6-7 years our great awakening period. There are times, I wish I was still asleep. We have lived our whole married life, 30 years, conservatively, but I never KNEW we were conservative till we found FR. I'm still trying to figure out if that was a blessing or not.....I'm digressing aren't I:)

Have you gotten the sense that I ramble alot:). Sorry.

Becky

I still can't find that darn cat. He's the first one I've really liked too. I even made myself look in the frigerator and freezer:'(

I've never gotten the sense that you're the least bit insane :~D

As for Harry... I think he had a lot of issues, some expressed, some not. I know that at least a few people called law enforcement in the last week or two about his posts, and though I'm not sure he's really dead, I think he has at least killed his screen name.

Well, I'm a quiet one. I talk a lot here but not so much in "real life" I tend to be way too serious.

Despite the humble image I try to maintain here, I am really a swimsuit model :~D

I have become more like the way I am when I write, than I was when I started posting, if that makes sense. Or - more accurately, I've learned how to express things in writing that sound like the way I talk. That's sometimes hard for people, I know people who come off much different in the world of cold text than they do in person.

OMG is the truck still in the driveway? Did Eddie teach the cat to drive? Maybe he's gone shopping at petsmart!

We ran out of Purina (Cindy got into his food) and Eddie bought him some cheap stuff at the covience store until he can get to town today. Maybe he went grocery shopping:')

Could backgammon be a part of that? We sure got lots of practice at written communication during those months.

I'm just what I am . I try to add a little humor here and there but I'm the me, I'm here ,just as I say, quieter and a tendency to be shy.

Well you sound nice to me! I think that everyone should be who they are and not try to be like someone else. I am who I am and people can just accept me for that. I dont trust people easily anymore. I have few friends but they are friends for life. I would trust them with mine and my families life. Some are in England and very much missed, some are here.
My very best friend is my husband. I could be with him 24/7 and be blissfully happy. We work very well together. I know I am very blessed.
My whole life revolves around caring for my family. I have had high paying long hour, rewarding jobs, but my favorite one is being a homemaker and cooking and keeping up with everything. I guess I am very old fashioned in that way.
I love to read and it is my passion. Right now I am reading about pasture poultry!
I love America. I love President Bush! You have a beautiful country here! : )

Fantastic! Best thing we ever did was to decide to homeschool! Jacob has finished a lot of this months work and has doen all the tests today which he passed with flying colors. He is now outside feeding the rabbits and playing. Emma is loving it. She finds the work so interesting. She has done some tests today too and made "A"s as well. : ) She has just finished reading the latest Harry potter book. It took her 3 days in her spare time! She has a passion for books too, in fact all the kids do.
I really reccomned this ACE homeschool work to everyone!

I am looking forward to deaconjim farming with me. : )It is going to be hard work and long hours but we are good problem solvers together. We built this 4000sq ft house together, from frame to (almost, still got a few things to do!) finish, and only once (because of someone else) did I throw a step ladder at him! : D Hehe! I missed.... : (
