This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Has anyone heard from Mommadooo3 In a while? I don't know whether she has access to a computer or not yet....
Just thinking about her after her brave move. : )
I was wondering how she was doing too. I hope everything is coming back together at their house. Rebuilding after being burned out would be very hard. Trying to decide what can be salvaged and what needed to be torn down and all that. But at least they're back on their own property, and from what I remember, it was very beautiful, so I'm sure it's very rewarding work. Hopefully she'll drop in on us sometime soon. :o)
Speaking of moving, did your friends find a house?

Well, I have to get to the couthouse. Yesterday, I put my bag on the belt and laid my phone and keys around the scanner. My bag cleared. Coming back from lunch, this time my bag tagged. I had a pair of Gasp, tweezers that were missed the 1st time.. They weren't even the pointed ones. I told the guy to just hold them for me. He acted like it was a gun or knife or something and told me I had to put it in this box but I would not get it back. I figure they probably caused me a quarter and not worth being late and going back to my car. So silly. I was looking later and a couple of my ink pens could have done much more harm.
I watched it this morning too, on the NASA channel. It was dark at Andrews AFB so they had them on infrared camera and you could see them plain as day from a long ways out, all the way through to the landing. It was really cool!
That is so goofy! They have metal detectors at the courthouse where I live and there's never even anybody sitting there. They go off like crazy, but nobody pays any attention. If they don't care, I sure don't. I just walk through with my purse like they aren't even there.

Good morning. ~Might~ go riding today, if we get motivated! Have to go get hay too.
I'm back til 2:00. The 1st time I went thru the guy didn't notice. He caught it the 2nd time. Go throw the wrong entrance door and they all jump up though:')
I thought about it this morning but I don't like watching the clock knowing I have to get back to do something else. I like going out there when my day over and I can stay as long as I want.
I just got in from riding, I actually took a few pictures:) I rode with the lady who was looking at Rusty. I rode Harley today. I'm letting him cool a bit before pulling the saddle off. I'm anxious to see how that bite mark held up under the saddle. It looked good when i saddled.
