This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Oh Dear Sweet God Hair! Oh I'm going to find this CD and send it your way if you'll let me. It's in storage right now but it's going to be coming out of there soon.
I needed some patriotic music the 4th. I both a CD at walmarts called Grass roots of America or something like that. It was the most awfulest stuff I had ever heard. Eddie keeps it in the truck as a joke to see how long people can listen to it. No one has made it past #3 so far.

When I had a roommate, she used to drink and party alot and keep me up all night long. We were from completely different backgrounds. I'm working class and conservative, she was liberal and very very rich and privlidged. So, we clashed like you wouldn't believe. One night she had this awful party and I had a very important exam the next day. I got maybe two hours of sleep. So, the next morning, knowing that she would have a terrible hangover, I put that CD on as LOUD as I could, and left for class. I've never seen someone so angry as she was when I got back. But it was worth it. So very worth it.
Such a pretty yard - I didn't plant anything this year except some trees and two tomatos. No bedding plants at all.
The property is owned by the convenience store that's also next door. These trailers belong to one of the clerks there, who asked the owner if she could park the trailers there for awhile, since they got evicted. It'd be really un-neighborly for me to complain any more, I try to be friendly with the store owner. There's another mobile on the property (that is just as trashy but not as visible to me BTW) and those renters aren't too pleased either, their running power to it, and water I imagine, from their place. I heard her complaining earlier that the breakers kept popping.

OK ladies, I've got shade on the pasture, I'm gonna go mow through another tank of gas.

LOL I would have done the same! I'd have put it back on when I got back, and when she complained I would have said " HUH? I Cant hear you! " and turned it up some more! : D
Well that sounds like its out of your hands, if the more permanent trailer renters are complaining and are paying rent to the store than I am sure it wont be long before the others move on. I hope and pray that this is the case...
This mare is in Bradenton, right outside Tampa. Only 3 hours away. 10 year-old, 15hh Buckskin Arabian.

Oh My! She's beautiful! Very long face....the bridle looks kind of strange (small?) to me!
Such a pretty color. Sometimes at night my granddaugher and I sit and ah and uh at horse pictures on the for sale sites.
I wonder why they just didn't leave her nekkid rather than put a too-small halter on her.
two tomatos? LOL We have got lots of watermelon taking over our garden at the moment. I froze a ton of yellow squash to use later on in the year.
