From what I understand Roald Dahl's widow had ultimate creative control, and the movie will be much more true to the book than the Gene Wilder film. So what? Willy Wonka begins and ends with Gene Wilder.
End of discussion.

I'm a huge fan of Wilder...I remember a for-tv play in the seventies that has since disappeared..."Scarecrow"...it was one of his first performances. Excellent! Wish I could find it.

So what? Willy Wonka begins and ends with Gene Wilder. Only for those illiterate souls who were exposed to the movie and not the book. Regrettably, that's the larger audience these days.
