On The Lookout
Ants are so near-sighted, that comets dont mean much,
As harbingers of doom or fate, or just bad luck as such.
Other than the sun or moon, those objects in the sky,
Mean less to ants than it would mean to have a moth come by.
A wing denotes a predator, so ants take note of wings.
The stars and comets soaring overhead are unimportant things.
The ants are little robots, doing things youd not believe,
Making neat the messy places when the other parties leave.
So when youre on your picnic, and youre all prepared to go,
If you see the clean-up crew you can conclude youve been too slow.
Theyve not come by to fight with you, but only for your waste,
So always get your picnics done, and then depart in haste.
