You're complaining about taxes? Working part time at McDonald's is honest, honorable work, but I can't imagine you're paying any state or federal income tax. I think i smell a troll. DUer baiting us somehow, but i don't get the angle. Then again I'm not a socialist so i could never be smart enough to figure out such a clever scheme as a DUer could concoct

I can assure you I am being honest. I don't mind working at those jobs. All work is honorable. I just want to find somthing better along the way. Is that a problem?

I'm going to take you seriously. You are the right age, go talk to a recruiter, California Guard, Coast Guard, or military. You say you want to get out, and do something, and I think you should.

My son just re-enlisted as a reservist, my nephew the genius just enlisted as a marine, I saw what military life did for my son and I highly recommend it. Don't wait, go see the man today.

Thing is, when you join the very day you post your first thread, and it is a "vanity" thread, you open yourself up to a good looking over.

Move out, move on with your life, stay with MD's if need be wherever you end up.

Community College is a place to get grounded and skills.

You must not have read my post, GO BACK AND READ IT AGAIN. I said NOTHING bad about working a McDonald's. In fact I said "Working part time at McDonald's is honest, honorable work," I simply made the point that you're probably in a tax bracket where you pay no state or federal income tax so i am suspicious about you complaining about taxes. Why would someone who pays no income tax be complaining about high taxes.

The fact that you assumed I'd look down on this type of work just confirms for me that you are in fact a DU troll.

For your edification most folks here at Freerepublic respect anyone who puts in an honest days work. Whether it's working at a fast food restaurant or picking fruit in a field, we respect those who contribute to society. It's been said; "you can learn all you need to know about someone's character by watching how they treat the people who serve them their food."
