In this age of liberal bloviators masquerading as commencement speakers, it's nice to read of someone with life lessons (as opposed to an agenda) to pass on to graduates. This is everything a commencement address should be (and brief too)

Yes, the best commencement addresses (and I've heard a LOT of them), are a bit like this, and all of them can be summed up in a poem by a very wise man, Dr. Seuss (Oh, the Places You'll Go!).
Just came across this thread.
I was at the commencement, and this was a very moving address that Jobs gave. People loved it, even those who had been ambivalent about having him as the speaker.
