The problem with Cannon Beach, Oregon is that it filled with very outspoken Oregonians. The last time I was there, theu played a game they called "book ends" with me. First thing I knew, I was in between two people spouting the Communist line. Not merely anti-Bush ranting. They were trying to convince me that Socialism is the only way to live. Obnoxious, very rude people live in Cannon Beach.

The problem with Ghana is disease. From the CIA fact sheet:

Major infectious diseases:

Degree of risk: very high.
Food or waterborne diseases: bacterial and protozoal diarrhea, hepatitis A, and typhoid fever.
Vectorborne diseases: malaria and yellow fever are high risks in some locations.
Water contact disease: schistosomiasis.
Respiratory disease: meningococcal meningitis (2004)

Yep..know about the diseases. As you back into the countryside, the higher the risk.

I had all kinds of shots before I went over there...
