Yesterday and today brought a bumper crop of emails from the troops. In each case, the knife referred to is the unglamorous Camillus BK2. Here are some hightlights:

First, an NCO from a AH-64 unit getting ready to deploy:

Thank you for sending the seatbelt cutter and shears along with the BK2. I was trying to get an all-in-one tool but, as you probably know, there is no such thing! I look forward to testing these and the Gerber you sent to my LT on some old belts we have. We are still using the older style survival vest (National Guard Unit) and have not received any of the MOLLE goodies. I have little hope that we will receive them before we get in country so thank you VERY much for helping us get items that are of real world use to soldiers. Pass alone to all the sponsors how much this means to us.

Next, a warrant officer from the same unit. Oh, and the sharpener he refers to is a Gerber V-type diamond sharpener. I found a deal on them for $2 each, so I bought 100. Have to think about maintaining our knives, too.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to you, your organization, and Camillus Knife Co. for the exceptional knife, gun cloth and sharpening stone that you sent me. I am still amazed at the level of support that you offer to United States Military members. This will prove to be an invaluable tool I am sure during my upcoming deployment. Thanks again and keep up the great work. If there is ever anything I can do to help out please let me know.

Finally, an email from another of the Bandits. While I'm sure other troops have the same thoughts, he's the first one to absolutely nail it when it comes to what we do, and why we send only our very best.

Rick, Thanks a lot!!!!! I got that GREAT knife today in the mail. MAN! It's a beauty. I am gonna put it to good use, and when this is all over for me I am gonna someday pass this along to my son and let him know that I carried this perfect knife during the war. I'll see to it that it stays in my family for years. It already has sentimental value to me just for being here with me. I really appreciate everything. Your a GREAT American for supporting us who support you. Thank You.
