I should learn to do bike maintenance.

Shouldn't be hard to manage...bikes aren't all that complicated compared to, say, a Windows XP installation. =] Just find somebody who knows how it's done, and ask him to show you how to do basic stuff, i.e. adjust the shifters, swap out a tire, and so on.

I'm pretty sure there are places around here that offer free workshops in bike maintenance.

I can swap out a tire and other really basic stuff...adjust the bike seat or stuff along those lines, but that's about it.

I'm not good with hardware, though. ;-) I'm a software support kinda gal. But I suppose that's *partly* my fault.
