Are they new? Check to see if the rubber on the grabber part is in the right direction. I had a brake once that had them on backward. If they are new and rubbing against paint they might make noise (untily the rub all the paint off hehehe). Otherwise they could just be generally lose. The shop should be able to spot the problem right away if they are any good. Can't wait to get mine back from the shop. Went swimming today... oh man, sooooo rusty at that and just generally out of shape. Someone there was talking about the triathlon I am doing. They suggested practicing running on hills... uh oh :p

They feel pretty hard...I'm wondering if they're just old, maybe. But if they ARE backwards...is there any easy way to tell?

We're going right by the bikeshop anyway, though...so it's no big deal to stop in, and I think they're pretty good. Should be able to tell me what's up.
