It's not my fault!
I want to wait till after the 'thon, so we don't have the ad in the first post for the duration of the thread.
So - go send JR a check... he's runnin' on hamsters here. ;~D
I haven't made sprouts in a long while. Maybe I should...
No, there are older and fouler forces at work in the dark places of the Internet...
I would have not thought about the kitchen sprouting if I wasn't experiencing a 'negative cash flow' :-)
A piece of cheese cloth would probably do the trick too...over the mouth of a jar. But I got these toppers when I was single and relatively wealthy. Heh!
The sprouter I got at the thrift store was only 59 cents...it looks very cool, but just very ineffective. The seeds sit in stagnant water and rot. Ah well...I wan't out much.
Maybe I'll sell it on eBay! If I got more than a buck for it, I'd be ahead! LOL
I know...I'm just teasin' ya!
Hole did get bigger than usual this time, though.
I get awful attached, you know...
Mmmm...grilled chicken and avacado sandwich with radish sprouts!!!! Mmm MMM!
I bet I could make a nice dressing for it too, out of my yogurt...now that I've got quarts of it!
This certainly is the worst slow-down we've had in a while...
You used to hate to move, now you're naggin' me for running a little over ;~D
Sheesh!
I'm back to it being fast... there's still occasional haning posts, but the pages are loading fast.
Yeah, same here.
I would love an avocado tree but it'd be too cold in Pennsylvania. I would love to keep a dairy goat to make fresh cheese and yogurt. I made a collard warp using feta cheese and nothing else but wild sprouts, weeds and collard leaves from my garden. Delicious.
I think it's too cold for an Avocado tree here in OK too...and they were a $1.99 in the store last time I checked...too expensive.
But I sure love 'em!
What's a warp? Is it like a salad?
It's a mispelling. I meant to say wrap, like a burrito :-) Maybe one day I'll take a picture and post it hehehe. I got carried away with planting tomatoes and now I have at least two hundred different kinds growing in my yard.
So far, it looks like Emily is going south of you again.
Oh WRAP!! LOL! I'm sorry! I know what a wrap is!
~chuckling~
I've done that before with tomatoes! Had them running out my ears. I think last year we canned up a bunch...I still have sauce in my pantry!
I found that the birds don't like yellow tomatoes and will leave them alone while pecking on all the red, so I think I'll just grow red tomatoes in the future. They're tasty!
Uh, I mean I think I'll just grow YELLOW tomatoes in the future.
I'm getting a cup of coffee.
Whew! Glad we're really back to normal. Now I can relax!
