I was in the Bay Of Florida, 11-22-63 (My birthday), salvaging a U2 plane that Castro shot down when this happened. We got the plane but, never did find the pilot. This was announced on the intercom and everyone thought for sure we were at/going to war with the Soviets.

IMO, Oswald did it.

An old work buddy was in the Navy in the late 50s and early 60s, a lot of that time aboard a destroyer. He wound up involved in the Bay of Pigs, and in the blockade. He actually has a small but nice piece of the story, although until he told it to me, he didn't know it. :') I'll have to contact him soon, see how he's doing, and find out the exact details to share it.
