My neighbor and her husband are far, far left enviromentists. One day I was talking to her (we avoid politics). My now deceased female Lab found a young bird under the pine tree near by. All you could see, were this little feet sticking out of her mouth. My neighbor tried to get her to drop it. The dog just looked up at her, and went "crunch"...lol She stills mentions it from time to time. It really freaked her out, but I got a charge out of it.If we were outside with company, she would go to the barn and fetch anything she could find to carry back to "show off".
The male I have now, does none of this. He loves water, but does not retrieve. He was a year old when I adopted him, and maybe the former owners didn't play with him much.

Heh... well, some of the show bred labs have lost something in the breeding...
Mine retrieved, and I hunted with him, but he was more pretty than talented... and more honest than smart.

That is too funny.

Hahaha! That sounds exactly like something a dog would do! :-)

I'm ashamed to say the "crunch" would have done me in and I would be a dribbling mess in the corner ready for the men in white coats to come and get me! : )
