Do you boot just the front legs or the backs too? I always get a kick out watching a horse walk with shipping boots on because they always lift their legs twice as high as they need to when they walk.
Do you think that pony will get used to the idea of the other two going away on trail rides once it starts happening regularly? You should adopt her a pet to keep her company, like a goat or mini. ;-)

We are splitting the difference. I had one set of boots for Bay, and we don't have another set yet for Cyn... so we booted the front legs on both of them.

Pony does OK when we leave.... she calls a little plaintively when we load up and go, and she sure wants reassurance when we get back, but I think she'll get more an more used to it.
