The thing about that obstacle was I wondered if it was some kind of trick. I had encoutered some before where they would set something like that up, not give any other insturctions other then we are going to watch you.
I wondered if, since saftey is a big thing, if they were wanting you to go up the hill at an angle, rather then straight up, and go around the logs rather then try to step over. That is how I would have done it normally. I can't remember now if they specifically told us to go straight up, and step over, or just general instructions and watch what we would do. They always told us, don't just necessarily do what the person in front of you did, they may not have it right. But it's amazing, me included, how often people will just follow, like lambs to the slaughter:)

If there was a way around it, I definately would have chosen that too. Around here, there often isn't. The undergrowth is so think you don't know if there's ground or a big hole if you step off the trail.
