The distance between the poles in that last pic of Cyn seem to be just right for her. The pic where they are a lot closer together would be a good distance for Pony to work over. Bay looks nice in his last picture. When I've done poles, it's been to get them to be more aware of where they have to put their feet, rather than striving for stretching or distance. I think that I did five heel to toe steps of my feet between each pole for distance. Something that might be nice to work up to is fanning the poles out in a half circle and going over them that way. My horse could never figure out what to do with them in that case. He would always jump them, and then get really confused and upset because he swore to me that it's what he was SUPPOSED to do darnit!
