To: Rose of Sharn
Our last 'official' farrier retired about 2 years ago. And he was the only one for a 5 county area.

I'm going to insist that hubby go to farrier school on his next lay-off. It's @ $4,000 but well worth it. Our old guy made 2,000 on the day he came to OUR place, and others'. Of course, he only charged US, 75-80 for 4-5 horses.

I think Mark would do well at it. He's got the arm and back strength needed.(a little short in patience, but he'd realize he had MORE if he went to school)

Man.....another year without a garden for me. I hate it. I don't know what to do with myself without a garden to water/weed/tend.(sniff)

There seems to be a shortage everywhwere, I have suggested farrier to school to deaconjim too, he's very strong.
It would go hand in hand with raising cattle and homeschooling! Who knows........! : )
