My long shank snaffle had put too much pressure on just his mouth. he kept breaking down to a trot on the turns. This spreeds the pressure out more, and he kept going on the turns. It looks like a lot of bit, but they said it was actually easier on them then what I was using. I actually learned tho, that Harley will slow down with no pressure, except me rolling back some on my butt, and he'll turn with inside leg pressure and very little help with the reins. That's hard to remember tho when you speed up. I tend to get to pulling to much if I forget to think about what I'm doing. Becky
Is that a twisted wire snaffle? Hard to see in the shadow.
I'm surprised they'd recommend that for you, though I've seen them and half the pressure is on his nose, like a side-pull.
