It's a hot one here today. 85 and humid. I can't wait until Monday to get that AC fixed. There were two fans in the barn, I brought in the house. That helps somewhat.

I was mowing behind the pasture last night and had a wreck with my tractor. Dog gone tree got in my way. I was making a sharp turn, and hit the wrong brake pedal. It was a small dead tree, but I had it between the wheel and fender. I got off the tractor, and thought I could just break it off. Well, I did, but it broke in half and hit me on the head.. Ouch! Big goose egg. I had to take a hike back to the house and get my SIL to get me out. He had to saw off what was left of the tree down to get the tractor out. Sure messed up my hood. I sat last night with an ice pack on my head. Right before I went out back, I got the tractor stuck in a low spot in the pasture. Maybe, I should give it up.

I went back out this morning, and finished. There were 4 brush piles, I wanted to burn up. I did 3 and the last one had a bunny nest close by in the high grass I didn't get mowed, because of the pile. I almost set it on fire, but my dog alerted me to the nest. We did see a red fox running through the pasture, last night. Poor bunnies won't last long with him around. The hawk loves that I mowed the pasture. He can see his meals now.

There should be a bumper crop of hay this year here. The grass was so thick and high in the back. That's a good sign.

Came in the house, to catch the Belmont. Good excuse to sit a spell.. ;')

Ouch! Glad you are ok. Our grass got high and there was a rabbit nest in it too. I hit one with the mower. I though it was just a rat and I felt bad enough but I almost cried when I saw it was a baby rabbit dieing.

We have hawks all over the place because my trainer hunts with them, and those that she releases stick around.
