LOL...everyone has a 'one-of-a-kind' SOMETHING. We have a one of a kind rooster. I DON'T think he realizes he's just a chicken. There's just 'something' special about that dumb bird.

I've been getting on so late at night I wanted to say have fun and good luck at your clinic, just in case I don't get on in time tomorrow. Harley looks beautiful all shiny - don't be surprised if someone trys to buy him while you are there.

So - what kind of drugs do you have that killer rooster on? Or does he just have a soft side? :)

Loved the pictures but boy, what a horrid start to your day. I'm glad everything worked out, and you know he has a good home.

It will be intersting to see how they all interact when the chicks are grown.

I've always kept snakes. BUT.....I can understand the folks who DON'T like 'em.

Snakes and horse owners should have a 'tolerant' relationship. LOL.... those 'creepy' snakes will take care of the mice who like to eat your horses' grain...who like to leave poop for the horse to get sick on...who like to eat as MUCH tack as they can wrap their little teeth around.

I have to agree with you - we've got a snake who lives in the tack room. We've got a block at the door so it won't close all the way so he can come and go.

I read somewhere that there are no snakes in Ireland? If true, how do ranchers control rats?

LOL... no drugs.

When they were all fresh outta the eggs, he acted like he was the BOSS....imagine a cotton ball on stilts. That's why he got named 'Killer'.

Our boy 'took the chicken over'. Everywhere the boy went, the chicken would go. The chicken did what the boy did.He ate what the boy ate....did chores with the boy...slept with the boy.

I think the rooster is just 'imitating' what he sees the boy doing. It's weird.

I could write a mini-novel about the chicken and his boy. But, people would laugh because, after all, Killer is just a supper item.

I'm doing fine. The arm's still a little 'off', but that's because I keep bumping it. (and sitting at the 'puter desk aggravates stuff)The heart's a little off also. But THOSE things ALWAYS take longer to heal.

I sense a real good children's book here - have you ever thought about writing one?

Thanks for the kind words, just wish I had more time to spend with the horses. Already have fresh hay in the barn for next winter and several more fields that need to be cut and baled now.

If you and Hair are still in the market for a new truck, now is the time as the price has dropped. Trying out a new duramax diesel now.....

Mommadoo, your rooster reminds me of the bantams that used to live at my barn. One little rooster would try to pick a fight with the horses. In height, he barely stood as high as a horse's roof but that didn't stop him as he had no fear of anything........
