This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Does anyone know of a good manure spreader that won't break my bank account? I only have the one horse so don't need something huge. I looked at the Newer Spreader but they are really small....I'd be spreading forever.
Those looked really cool. Have you seen one in person? I've only seen them on RFDTV. I didn't know how big they actually were.
That is true but actually I have another truck that you did not know about.
Ok, I finally broke down and quit driving a rattletrap........ : )
Well good! You've needed a new truck for a long time.
I found one and bought it, truck and all ... for a couple hundred. I cannot remember if it is a 16ft or 20ft bed though. Were you looking for a horse drawn spreader? I have three of those.
Thanks, AC is great...... : )
I think you asked the wrong person about buying equipment! ;o) Cav likes to buy rusting old relics and drags them to his farm to finish rusting down. Hair keeps kidding him about his truck "planters".
Well y'all, I'm gonna call it an early night, go eat a little supper, watch a little TV and go to bed. The weekend's got me whipped. Talk to ya later...
Hey, I resemble those remarks.........
One of the manure spreaders is a small ground drive unit. It came from a now closed horse stable/farm. It would be perfect for a small tractor.
This has got to be a joke, I mean that CANT be her skin can it? She has to be wearing trousers, right? And her boobs at her belly in a bikini? Joke Right?????? : }
chickens spread manure the cheapest way! : )
Not a joke from the best I can tell......... : )
Nice pic, but........what are they and what do they do.
GAVE up, had to ask! LOL Curiosity killed the cat and all the rest! LOL
Yes they do and also keep mice away from feed troughs.
~shudders~
Yes, we are the low lives now. That is why they can tax and tax us smokers, without much protest. Sooner of later, they will get everyone for something they enjoy.
