This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

I don't think it eats up minutes when he leaves a message, but you do use minutes when you call your voice mail.
The bad thing is , is that I would have liked to have known more about the satalite tv but I was mad because they called my cell phone.
I read something a while back that marketers were soon going to be free to call cell phones, but I don't know how they get the numbers, as they aren't yet publically listed.
You can put your cell phone on that Federal Do not call list.

I saw a really nice new fence today. My son's neighbor. It was all t posts, but he had used that string that is hot. But the string he used looked heavier gauge then other I have seen. It was white too. Looked nice.

Hey did you happen to catch that new mini series that started last weekend. Into the WEst? I set it to record and was thinking about watching it here in a bit, but it's 2 hours, and I don't know if I can make it tonight:)

I've seen stuff that looks like white rope.... looks nice. It may last longer than the tape too. I like the tape for visibility, but I still like lots of heavy gauge wire for more strength. Trouble with the tape is it rots and gets brittle. Mine makes it two years.

Oh good. maybe I'll at least watch a little of it. I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open. It's also a very nice evening. I'd like to go outside but can't get off the couch.

LOL. I saw a set up the other day that I really liked. It was a double fence with the wire set about 10-15 feet interior. Plenty of room to get a 4 wheeler around, plant trees or whatever.
Not seen one like that yet. Most of the fences I see are 4 or 5 strand barbed wire. These fences have the double braces at the corner posts and spaced out along the run of the fence.
I have seen similar set ups where there was bad feelings between neighbors, for real.
Well I hope the reason he was banned was because of a post on another thread because I found him funny, not insulting, rude or offensive. I am just a bit surprised that so many posters are allowed to get away with really offensive ugly material and insults and yet our "clown" was banned.
I hope I don't get "banned" by voicing my thoughts! : )
I saw it Becky, it's the sort of thing I really enjoy. I like historical books, fiction or fact too! I am looking forward to watching the next part. : )
