This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
It's just a small battery, that charges when you hook it up to the truck to go.... it has a little wire cable we hook to the truck. If it get's pulled, the trailer brakes lock up.
I do know one person who lost a hitch and the trailer broke loose. My landlord. He owned Bay at the time and Bay was in the trailer. Surprisingly, the horses remained calm in the trailer, and they had a tow truck tow them all the way to the ride. This was a long trip to Montana and they were almost there. ;~D Bob went on the ride and had a good time anyway let Dick handle fixing his truck.

The bathroom in our RV is right next to the bed Mack and I were in, he thought we were both still there:).

Yeah, I imagine an RV's not the most private place to take a leak. Probably sounds like a cow pissing on a flat rock every time somebody goes. ;o)

I never even thought sister in law. I don't have any so I guess that's why.

When we had our flat up in the woods last weekend, I was jacking up the truck, which is the easy part, turning the little handle... and ecurbh and the bicycle man were resting... When a 4-wheeler pulled up he said "how come you guys are watching the woman do all the work?" Heh... he didn't know that poor ecurbh had been the one to crawl under and get the spare down, and been the one digging out the road bed with his hands and a rock. ;~D
LOL! No, you can't exactly mistake him for a girl there... (unless he's the one on the right) ;o)
She'll tell us these tough wimmen she knows have beards and tattoos too ;~D
I can dig it... there's lots of them gravel eatin' wimmen here at The Evergreen State College too ;~D
