I dunno... Except it's a bad road. It wasn't like just a nail in ours, it had a rock sized tear in it. His went flat sitting, I think. No obvious hole. In fact, he may have just blown the seal on his rims over bumps.
We didn't have the truck this weekend... I think we decided we'll be very happy with the low trails for awhile ;~D
Afleet Alex is great. He has yet ran a bad race (he finished last in one race, but that was because he had a lung infection). When horse does what he did in the Preakness, and then does what he did in the Belmont, that is the mark of a great horse. He is apparently headed for the Haskell and Travers next in August. It sounds like he is staying in training and will run once or twice before then.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1421402/posts Yall heard of Baxter Black? There is some funny horse stuff mixed in here.
I thought about being a jockey ever so briefly, but I decided that the thrill just wasn't worth it. I'd probably never be good enough to ride for any large barns anyway, so it's just as well. And let me tell you, it's embarassing when a jockey is taller than you are.
I went over to the benefit horse show today. Man, what a crowd they had. There were people there, I have not seen in years, old 4-H buddies and others. Gee, they got old...lol I went over right from the trap shoot, and didn't have my camera. The demonstration of the Lustino was so cool. I see they are posting pictures on the web site. Most are from yesterday, when they were setting up. Found this one of the Lustino. He is at 3rd level dressage.
Neat. Did they raise a decent amount of money? I'm sorry if that's a rude question.
My Grandaughter won the Leadline class and my daughter got a second and third in Adult barrels (she rode two different horses). They were still going strong when I left.
That's wonderful that there was such a large turnout for the show. Congrats on the wins and the placings. I didn't know that someone could enter more than once in one class/event.
I wanted to be a jockey most of my life. I think I was 8 or 9 when I made that decision. It just didn't work out right. I wish I had of though. There is no way I would try it now. I don't think the injuries are worth it. It's hard to get insurance too.
Congratulations to your kids:') I'm glad to hear all went well with the fund raiser.
Can you post Annie's picture? I can't get it to open up.
Glad the benefit show was a success... I was lazy today, have hopes for a better tomorrow :~D
It's not showing? Does it show the red X?
Anyone else able to open? I get a box with 2 blue and 1 red dot.
This does not make any sense. I see it just fine. I wonder what is wrong?
May just be my computer.
That horse must have been something to what. Exhibitions like that really impress me - it's difficult to imagine the tremendous amount of training that is involved.
