This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
LOL...actually, I had been trying to come up with a 'plan' on how MOM can get in on the action ALSO. ROFLMBO!
That is closer but where do you tie your rain pancho, bedroll, canteen, saddle bags, etc? : )
OH! Well, mabe you could volunteer to go as....a shapperone for the horse?
Put them in a backpack and carry them.
LOLOL
Or have a packhorse........ : )
Yea! I didn't think about that. That is a good idea!
Well, I guess he made sure he was well prepared LOL!!!
There is even one half of a small tent on there somewhere.....
Say, it is good to see you back on here again. Your posts have been missed.
One half of a small tent?!? What is the use of that?
Thanks. I have been trying to make time at least on the days I don't go to school, like yesterday and today. I will probably post quite a bit tomorrow too.
I will be back in 15 minutes, starting now
LOL
The theory was that each trooper carried 1/2 of a tent. That way when they stopped for the night, two troopers could fasten the halves together to make a complete tent.
The last posts I remember were that your computer was on the blink........
Already getting clouds from the tropical storm here and it is still a long way off.
Oh yea, that was before I got my own computer. I dont have to worry about that anymore.
I think Florida was getting rain from that already.
Well, THAT makes sense.
Computer sharing is not fun at all. Glad that you have your own now.
Not sure about the path of the storm but seems like it will come close as it moves North. Just what is needed during hay season, lots of rain.......
I read that from Louisiana to Florida they have warnings, so I guess it will hit somewhere inbetween.
Yea, it was ok, but you can't get on when you want to. Now I need my own cable! LOL
The last one I remember that was to pass this way changed directions and passed over GA instead. Kinda hope that this one does the same......
If you mean cable/Broadband internet, that is the best way to go. Dialup is slow in comparison.
We have broadband and wireless internet. by cable I mean tv. I really like the broadband.
You may be able to have a TV tuner installed inside your computer and view cable tv that way. Not that familiar with them but I know they are available.
Have to go offline for now and going to let you girls takeover. Good to see you on here again. TTYL! : )
Hmm, interesting. And flip channels too? LOL ok See you later!
If there is a next time ask who is on call for him. Someone has to be seeing his patients. I'm glad you got a re-newal. That will give you a month to get things straightened out.
