THAT'S NOT LOVE. To ask her to give up everything she is, and has been (which, consequently, made her the person he "fell in love" with) proves he is not about loving her at all. It's all about what's good for him. I hope she sees this clearly before she makes this huge mistake. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes being in a real love relationship/marriage to know how to spot the impersonators. She hasn't had that experience yet, so I imagine she thinks she's got the real thing.

Just for posterity, I must mention Mr. Cruise's track record...I guess Katie thinks he'll change just because of her? Nope. He's asking HER to change her whole life for him, but I'm guessing he hasn't analyzed any of his numerous relationships and why they haven't worked. She should do a little demanding as well. Like--get some psychotherapy and figure out why you fail in all your relationships. I know...THE CULT won't let him get psychotherapy.

Poor Katie! Tom is either sterile, impotent, gay or otherwise, or doesn't like his wife gain weight in pregnancy i.e. him and Nicole adopting.

Boy, that's for sure. It's not love, it is CONTROL. Something scientologists are quite familiar with, whether receiving or giving. He has searched long and hard to find a young, gullible, star-struck woman. Add easy to manipulate to that list. His first wife was a scientologist (I think) and older than him. His second beard wife was his age, a beautiful and up and coming actress. They had kids and tried to look 'normal'. They adopted kids, fueling rumors he was gay and divorced amid rumors, among others, that she was returning to her Catholic faith and wanted to raise the kids that way. So now that he's a 'big' star, he can be choosey. Third times a charm, right? Young, gullible, malleable. Poor thing, she's buying it.

Unfortunately, sometimes it takes being in a real love relationship/marriage to know how to spot the impersonators.

Amen to that. Or simply surviving and removing oneself from a bad relationship, devoid of real love.

LOL. The cult provides their own 'therapy', and her demands will be too little, too late. We haven't heard the last of Katie, but I fear the last will be a desparate, dark story in 5 or 10 years, leaked first by a tabloid not afraid to butt up against the cult.
