I fear Katie will go the way of Debbie, a girl I went to high school with. No one has seen or heard from her in more than a decade. When our friend tried to communicate with her, scary people kept showing up at her house with personal details of P's family and threats, veiled and not, 'advising' her to discontinue all contact. Same with Deb's family. Her husband actually scared them off with a gun. But no one's seen Debbie. I fear Katie will go the way of Debbie and Lisa McPherson. And who knows how many others.
