Your rose is gorgeous!

No need to watch Diane Sawyer's big interview with Pitt on Tuesday nite:

[PageSix]
June 6, 2005 -- FIRST Amendment be damned! When Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie say they don't want to get personal, they mean it. Both stars are making journos who interview them sign a contract to that effect and if you break it, Jolie will sue you. Her lawyer, Robert Offer, sent out a letter stating: "Interviewer will not ask Ms. Jolie any questions regarding her personal relationships. In the event Interviewer does ask Ms. Jolie any questions regarding her personal relationships, Ms. Jolie will have the right to immediately terminate the interview and leave. The interview may only be used to promote the Picture. In no event may Interviewer be entitled to run all or any portion of the Interview in connection with any other story . . . The interview will not be used in a manner that is disparaging, demeaning or derogatory to Ms. Jolie." If an interviewer does not comply, he or she can be sued for an "undisclosed" amount, the document states. Pitt, meanwhile, noted in his contract with the journos that he's willing to talk about his charity work as well as the movie. Luckily, director Doug Liman gives juicy interviews and is not afraid to talk about Jolie and Pitt's "chemistry."

June 6, 2005 -- WHAT'S going on with Katie Holmes? Tom Cruise seems to be exerting ever more control over his sweetie/ fiancée's career. Holmes, who has been spending a lot of time at the Scientology Center in L.A., showed up at the junket for "Batman Begins" at the Regent Beverly Wilshire with "an entourage of Sci entologists in tow," said our spy. "At lunch, Tom came and after he left, his sister [and publicist] Lee Anne Devette sat in on all of [Holmes'] interviews. The producers and Warner Bros. are freaking out. They are worried Tom's bad p.r. is going to rub off." Holmes own p.r. man was also at the interviews, but Devette had "control. It's getting weird." Neither Devette or Holmes' rep re turned calls. A rep for Warner Bros. declined comment.

When I do my legs, I do my thighs first and rub quickly, all over, until there are no more streaks of brown (I have the tinted kind). Then I do my knees and calves. When I do my lower leg, I just sparingly use what is already on my hands to barely dust my feet. Don't try to do your whole foot. If you think about it, when you get a tan from the sun, only the tops of your feet every really get tan. Leave your heels and between your toes alone!

I suppose it takes some practice, but just go really lightly and fast around your ankles and feet, and never do the whole foot!

I have discovered that I get the smoothest and most even color using a makeup sponge. My friend says to use a painting sponge on a handle. I am going out to the hardware store today to get one of those handled sponges.

Keep us posted.

Not that I will use your research to my own advantage. I have decided to forget this Man Tan stuff. It hasn't improved much since the QT days.

If, and that's a big IF, I ever have the need to look totally, perfectly tanned I will lay down and rest until the urge goes away.

I have attained an age where being tan is not high on my priority list.

I'm with you, IG. My tan is of the "working in the yard" or "playing golf" variety, so the tan lines probably are in all the wrong places (though I try to remember to go sleeveless occasionally). Oh well.

Imagine an actor, director or producer who was of the Christian faith doing this...

Isn't that the truth? The wackier the beliefs, the more acceptable the celebrity's behavior to the truly tolerant, but don't dare express your Christian faith in your movies or you'll be called an extremist and hateful (viz. Mel Gibson).

I will try mixing the tanner with moisturizer to dilute it. I am so very fair, clear actually, that even the lightest of tanners looks dark to me.

Mine, too. I wear a sleeveless top most of the time, so I don't have to worry about a white line showing is I wear a shorter sleeved top when I go out. My arms would never be described as boney or thin, and the white line makes them look all the worse.

Actually, she (Sheedy) does pretty well in Indie films (and she's married to Angela Lansbury's nephew).

The party's over. Time to stop all this republican fun and be democrats...

Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, considered a likely presidential contender in 2008, told supporters of her 2006 Senate reelection bid on Monday that America can no longer "give in" to the Republican agenda.

"There has never been an administration, I don't think in our history, more intent on consolidating and abusing power to further their own agenda," said Clinton.

"I stay awake at night thinking about all the mistakes and the wrong direction and all the bad decisions being made in Washington," Clinton said at the fund-raiser. "It's very hard to stop people who have no shame about what they're doing. It's very hard to stop people who have never been acquainted with the truth.

"We cannot give them (Republicans) another two years of majority. We cannot give them another four years after that," she said.

She characterized the Bush administration's financial priorities as tax cuts for the wealthy and funding the war in Iraq, rather than the needs of Americans who lack health insurance, affordable housing and good schools. link

Isn't it a form of mental illness to project your own shortcomings onto others? geez!

"I stay awake at night thinking about all the mistakes and the wrong direction and all the bad decisions being made in Washington,"

Pleeeasse, that's just another excuse for why she's not looking so good these days.

Crazy people will say and do things that take your breath away. They have cornered the market on "The Truth." Never mind that their "truth" has absolutely no resemblance to reality.

Of course, when we're talking about Ms. Rodham, we must consider she's likely a sociopath. (I'm just full of happy thoughts today.;)

Here's more news to spur more "happy" thoughts:

In 1999, The New Yorker published a transcript indicating that Bush had received a cumulative score of 77 for his first three years at Yale and a roughly similar average under a non-numerical rating system during his senior year. Kerry, who graduated two years before Bush, got a cumulative 76 for his four years, according to a transcript that Kerry sent to the Navy when he was applying for officer training school. He received four D's in his freshman year out of 10 courses, but improved his average in later years.

The grade transcript, which Kerry has always declined to release, was included in his Navy record. During the campaign the Globe sought Kerry's naval records, but he refused to waive privacy restrictions for the full file. Late last month, Kerry gave the Navy permission to send the documents to the Globe. Kerry appeared to be responding to critics who suspected that there might be damaging information in the file about his activities in Vietnam. The military and medical records, however, appear identical to what Kerry has already released. This marks the first time Kerry's grades have been publicly reported.

The transcript shows that Kerry's freshman-year average was 71. He scored a 61 in geology [I can't wait to tell Mr. B., the geologist!! LOL], a 63 and 68 in two history classes, and a 69 in political science. His top score was a 79, in another political science course. Another of his strongest efforts, a 77, came in French class. [French was his best subject! -ed.]

Who would you date?!

.

I suggest we do a remake of Mystery Date and use Effin' as the Dud.

And now a visit to the WayBack machine. Remember when news broke that studies comparing the IQ's of GWB and Effin revealed that President Bush is smarter than Lurch? Then, Tom Brokaw had the nerve to rub it in Effin's face. Click here to see the video (near the very end).

From the transcript:

Brokaw: Someone has analyzed the President's military aptitude tests and yours, and concluded that he has a higher IQ than you do.

Kerry: That's great. More power. I don't know how they've done it, because my record is not public. So I don't know where you're getting that from. [hehehe!]

Brokaw: Do you think he's a smart man?

Kerry: I do. Yes, I do think he's a smart man.

Brokaw: Do you think too many people in your party underestimate?

Kerry: I think people have always underestimated President Bush. But I'm proud that in those debates, I didn't underestimate him. [That has to be one of the most inane statements, ever.]

That BG article in the above post saved this damning information for the last paragraph...

Bush went to Yale from 1964 to 1968; his highest grades were 88s in anthropology, history, and philosophy, according to The New Yorker article. He received one D in his four years, a 69 in astronomy. Bush has said he was a C student.

"I hope my pink tie doesn't clash with the red gown."

If you ever wonder what nefarious activity the Dems are up to, just check what crimes, misdeeds and offenses they're accusing the Republicans of committing.

"There has never been an administration, I don't think in our history, more intent on consolidating and abusing power to further their own agenda," said Clinton.

No, the Clinton Administration never did anything like that!

The cultists just get stranger and stranger:

Meanwhile, at the MTV awards, everyone was buzzing about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' strange behavior. "Katie requested a private dressing room, which was in the basement," we're told. "Tom and Katie came roaring up on his motorcycle and disappeared for the whole night into the room with her p.r. guy, a stylist, a hairdresser, a makeup person and six Scientologists, including Tom's sister [and p.r. woman] Lee Anne DeVette. They did not come out except for when they went onstage — did not mingle with anyone in the green room — and then left."

Holmes had to be back at the Regent Beverly Wilshire early the next morning for the "Batman Begins" junket, where she and Cruise "made out in the hallway in front of all the journalists and TV people in between every interview."

"We are talking a public display for hours," said our source. "It was over the top, unnecessary and gross." (Page Six)
