Yes. You were taking sides with Ferguson.

Retraction?

Are you back again? I thought you left.

Yes. Didn't you admit that you were wrong when you said, "He's Scottish, dear, not British?"

None of that has anything to do with Ferguson.

Sure it does. He employed the usual leftist tactics against Ann. Telling her she's angry. Asking her if she used drugs.

Do you watch Ferguson's show? He is unbelievably gentle and warm with every other guest I have ever seen him with. This is the only time the interview went that way and I've seen him interview political people before.

I don't watch Ferguson very much. Does he often ask his guests if they smoked marijuana? Does he often ask them when they became so angry?

I thought Craig was OK with her. I almost never watch his show though.

Is it me or is Ann getting thinner and thinner?? She needs to eat something. I have a picture of her in my cubicle with Phil Hendrie from 2 years ago. I think it was from when she was on Phil's show in Aug. 2003. You can see the difference. Ann was thin there and she is too thin now.

Definitely a downhill trend needing intervention, I'm remembering her on c-span almost a decade ago, she was downright chubby compared to the bone we see today..

..& much more engaging conversationally.

I wanted to discuss WHY so many freepers love Ann so much.

One of the reason I love Ann is because she has so much courage. She was one of the first to expose Bill Clinton as a crook when she wrote High Crimes and Misdemeanors. And she has had the courage to reveal the revisionist leftist history that smeared Joe McCarthy. And she speaks as a conservative on college campuses.

It's a lot easier to be a leftist because the right plays fair. They do not throw food at leftists and they do not control the media and have the power to shut you out of the publishing business.

You are right, some people can't see past the miniskirt but Ann sees things that others don't. For example, consider this column Ann wrote of how the hideous events at an Atlanta courthouse illustrated proper place of men and women:

The purpose-driven left

I think a person's weight is entirely genetic. Thomas J. Bouchard pretty much proved that fact. He studied about a hundred pairs of identical twins who were raised in separate families and found that virtually all of them differed by only a few percent from their twin.

You can, with a super effort of will, change your weight. But I am not sure that's healthy because you are going against your genetic makeup.

The first reply could have been taken either way. It was my reply which was provocative, so understandably..the second, about j##king off would be not so innocuous. I do apologize for making the wrong (defensive) call on the first 50/50 proposition which probably colored the rest.

You are right on about women in politics. Anne could do well to be more athletic. I was playing on the appearance of "books" over "boobs", as I'm sure you could tell. I do think SouthPark to be over the edge, but as a father of two-under 10, and living amongst 5.2 million city dwellers and suburbanites... hayseed doesn't play. I laugh my ass off half the time, cringe the other half.

Best Wishes. My bad. You killed Kenny you bastards.

Thank you understanding what I'm trying to say. Ann has many great qualites. I just wish she'd tone it down sometimes.

If that is the order, then that's the order. I can't dispute that.

Still, I didn't see that he was trying to get her into an argument. She came out ready for battle though. If she hadn't been so uptight, thinking everyone is trying to get her, it would have been a better interview.

Ann's books are the greatest ever. She comes off better in her books in my opinion.

You asked if I preferred being in control. Well, of course I do.

But I maintain control without doing the things Ann does.

She should do her 'big thing" when it's necessary such as talking to a liberal in a debate type setting.

She should come on shows like this and dazzle everyone, not just the diehard Coulter fans.

She could help us pull in the young people, especially the young women.

Ferguson has never done anything to make me think he's a leftist. He even bashed the French the other night and I've seen him quickly shut down people who were trying to bash Bush. He loves America. Small town America especially.

I don't think he's leftist at all.

But regarding Ann, she was WAY over the top. It was an embarrassment for us in my opinion.

He has a Scottish accent. That was what we were talking about. The accent.

YOU are the one who brought the history lesson unnecessarily in here.

He was born in Scotland. He speaks like someone from Scotland.

Scotland is one of three countries that make up Great Britain.

But his accent is distinctly Scottish.

Ann led the way to most of those converstations. He tried to get her into another subject, but SHE kept it there.

If your Annie has so much control why does every interview with her come off as hostile? Unless she is in completely safe company, such a college republicans or Sean Hannity with Colmes, she is hostile from the start. That's not healthy.

Dan, this might surprise you but I think NOBODY does it better than Ann in PRINT.

Her books are wonderful. Most of her columns are wonderful.

She's wonderful during a heated election period on TV. It makes for great TV when Ann is taking a liberal apart, piece by piece.

But there is a time and place for every thing and on Ferguson's show, it was a time to step it down some and to just be like a normal person.

It was an entertainment show, but she turned it into a battlefield.

I sincerely doubt Craig is a leftist. I watch all the time and in my opinion, he's not a leftist.

He bashed the French, stopped an old man from bashing Bush twice, he's said how much he loves America and wants to be a citizen, he prefers red state America.

So far, even the obligatory political jokes are mild and funny, not cruel in the least.

I don't think Ferguson had planned to "attack" Ann. Why would be refuse to let the President be bashed, but go ofter Ann?

I truly don't think Craig was out to get Ann. I think he was surprised by her hostility.

Tell me something, does Ann have any friends or a lover?

She seems lonely and a little bit unsure of herself in relations with other people. This is not a flame. I'm trying to understand her.

Is she sort of a loner?

Like I said before. I doubt if most people "on the left" are really ideological. They just tend to go with the flow and play along with the ones who have a leftest agenda. And if they see that the current fashion is to needle conservatives they will do it.

He bashed the French, stopped an old man from bashing Bush twice, he's said how much he loves America and wants to be a citizen, he prefers red state America.

Now maybe he is sincere that he loves America, but it might also be that knows what a sucker Americans are for foreigners who say they love America. You never really know. He may just be looking at demographic charts when he says he likes red states.

The British and the French have never had much of a love affair so that doesn't mean too much. And we have millions of illegals in this country who would love to become a citizen (so they can turn the Southwest into an Hispanic state).

But let's see if we can get a transcript of the show and I'll show you where he was acting like the typical talk-show liberal. These guys like to keep it subtle, so if someone goes off on a rant about the president, he's going be shut down. But all the little needles and jabs remain.

She seems lonely and a little bit unsure of herself in relations with other people. This is not a flame. I'm trying to understand her. Is she sort of a loner?

Right. Ann Coulter is a moody loner who could go off the deep end at any time, so you better watch out.

Come on. When you spend your life doing book tours, speaking engagements at colleges around the country, talking head gigs several times a week on national TV, all the cocktail parties after these events, all night bar-hopping with Matt Drudge, you really can't be classified as a "loner".

And boyfriends? Yes. But that's her business, isn't it?
