I bet you had an totally enjoyable dinner this eveing - even though it was unexpected. I'm like you all - I'm not real good with abrupt plan changes.
I was real proud of myself this afternoon with how I handled Jax getting off the bus with an invitation to a birthday party that started in 25 minutes..........an invitation that had no address or phone number on it. She told me she knew where the child lived and so off we went to Dollar General to get gift and card. Jax was correct the other child lived in a blue house near the railroad tracks - but she had the wrong road.
Jax at least knew the child's last name and how to spell it - but there was no one in the phone book with that name in this part of the county - so I took a chance of calling another person with that name in this county and wound up on the phone with the grandmother who gave me the phone number. I didn't get into the dynamics of the divorces and remarriages and thus the problems with the names - but had Jax there by 5........sheesh.
You're a loon!!!!!!!
i hope jax appreciated the effort you went through! that was above and beyond!
c'mon, some men have BAD mid-life crisis. Mine is pretty mild. LOL.
I thought she did - until she got home (a neighbor told me she would bring her home) and fought about the homework........GRRRRRRRRRRR
But coolbreeze appreciated it and told me what a great mommy I am - that made me feel real good.
jax is coolbreeze's mid-life crisis.
LOLOL - see, mine is comparitively inexpensive...

I just saw the neighborhood bear, it ran in front of my car and up a tree......scared the beejeebees out of me. It is HUGE! I couldn't get around the corner into my driveway fast enough, even ran into the house. Wonder where the baby was. I am on call tonight and tomorrow night, not sure if I can do this.
Of course - I am out to have fun, not get killed. (said the paratrooper...)
You need to carry a gun.
I dislike bears in the neighborhood a lot...eat your garbage, eat your garden, eat your cat, sometimes they try to eat you....
I have seen one bear, peaking over the road on the Chinook Pass on HWY 410 just south of Mt. Ranier...my wild bear seeing itch is satisfied...
