We watched the part in Episode six with Leah after seeing Episode III. On the way home from the movie we had theorized that perhaps Leah, in remembering her mother, was talking about the Sebator's wife and that maybe he she had died when Leah was young. I was thinking about that, too. But why does Luke then say "I have no memory of my mother" when Anakin's step sister-in-law on Tatooine is his adoptive mother? Did she die young too?

But Luke specifically asks about Leah's "real" mother. He makes that very clear and she indicates that she does remember her, but only briefly, that she was very beautiful and sad. I said..."no way", not as a two minute old baby. My wife then said that maybe since Leah was so strong in the force (latently) then maybe she would remember in the story. Well, like I said, I think the plot is erronous here. UNLESS there is an Episode 3 1/2 to correct or supplement this seeming error.... As to them not asking about the baby...if you noticed, when she was buried, they made her still look pregnant. I wondered about that, now it makes sense. Still, if it wewre my wife and I was in love with her, I would have said, "And the baby?" At the very least.... As to Vader's reaction...notice how the Sith Lord smiled as Vader's rage took hold. I believe that he was reveling in it and knew Vader would not take it out on him, but that he, Sidious would later use it. Yes but I still would have expected Vader to at least attack Sidiou of not kill him, disabled or not! One of the things I reallly enjoyed about the movie was that Master Windu actually defeated Sidious before Anakin intervened. INDEED. I felt so bad when he died, he was a very cool character!
